The Malaysia Halal Expo 2023 is currently being held at the Mines International Exhibition and Conference Centre (MIECC), Seri Kembangan, Selangor. The three day event is running from 1st September to 3rd September 2023, from 10am to 10pm, gathers a wide range of industry participants and professional from micro to international enterprises to showcase their latest halal products and services.

Officiated by Mr. Mohd Zuhairi bin Mat Radey, the Selangor Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry director, witnessed by the President of Dewan Perdagangan Islam Malaysia, Tuan Hj Mohammad Sahar Mat Din, the CEO of HQC Commerce, Dato’ Hj Khairul Shahril Hamzah, as well as distinguished guests from JAKIM, Country Heights, MIECC, Xcerator, Ecoworld, Affin Islamic Bank, and JFC Food Industries, who are the main beverage sponsor for the event.

The organisers of the event, HQC explains that the expo will serve as a platform for companies and organisations to showcase their halal products and services to nationwide consumers, as well as to network, learn, explore and establish new business partnerships. The event will also include keynote presentations from industry leaders and panel discussions on the current trends and challenges confronting the halal business, with a focus on sustainability and the role of local enterprises in advancing the industry.

The exhibition is open to all public, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, featuring many interesting and fun filled activities for the whole family. There is a petting zoo and bouncy castle for the children, a variety of stall selling clothing items, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and many more locally produced products. There are also interesting business opportunities for those seeking to invest or pursuing a relationship with the local halal industry players. There are also several pavilions by several Muslim countries, including Indonesia, and if all that seems tiring, there are a number of food trucks selling a variety of dishes, from the simplest comfort food to the more exotic cuisines, all catering to your taste buds. For Muslim visitors, the prayer hall is located at level 3, just a walk up the stairs from the entrance of the hall.
