This innovative venture, in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud’s overseas associated companies, WhaleCloud International and Fonixtree Digital Technology, marks a significant milestone in the evolution of e-commerce, combining Ashita Group’s extensive market experience with Alibaba Cloud’s technological expertise.
With a robust network of over 5,000 registered dealers and more than 15,000 reseller points across Malaysia, Ashita Group has been at the forefront of market innovation for over three decades.
The partnership between Ashita Group and Alibaba Cloud stems from a shared vision to elevate the e-commerce landscape in Southeast Asia. Leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s world-class e-commerce expertise and Ashita’s extensive regional presence, Cendol.Asia is poised to meet the growing demand for social commerce in the region. Cendol.Asia’s name, inspired by the popular Southeast Asian dessert “cendol”, symbolises the platform’s regional growth ambitions. Its Chinese brand name, “Qian Dai”, meaning “Money Pocket”, underscores the platform’s unique value proposition and Shop-N-Earn structure, designed for Southeast Asia’s young and vibrant fast-growing e-commerce markets.
Cendol.Asia distinguishes itself through its innovative “Earn-As-You-Shop” model, supported by the proprietary Trio-Wallet system. The “Moneyback Wallet” allows shoppers to earn between 100-200% of their purchase value in the form of “CenDuit”, which can be redeemed for products on the platform, effectively boosting their purchasing power. Additionally, the “Income Wallet” links to the social commerce income generated by Cendol users, allowing them to earn a side income through referrals, a feature particularly appealing to Gen-Y and Gen-Z users. Meanwhile, the third wallet, Credit Power, provides inventory-backed credit to help social commerce merchants bridge gaps in their inventory purchasing power.
