Pop singer Britney Spears announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend via Instagram after he popped the question. The singer posted a video of the couple showing off the ring on the social media platform.

The couple can be seen laughing ans smiling in the video as she posed with the ring. When Asghari asks if “she likes it” as Spears put her hand over her mouth in surprise, she yells out “yes”. She captioned the video with “I can’t f**king believe it,” accompanied with several ring emojis.

Asghari also shared his own Instagram photo of the couple, appearing to be kissing as Spears showed off the ring. He captioned the post with only king and queen emojis.

In a statement to CNN, Asghari’s talent manager has also confirmed that the couple are indeed engaged. “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them,” Brandon Cohen of BAC Talent told CNN.

The pair first met in 2016 while filming a video to her single, “Slumber Party”.

Their announcement come days after Spears’ father, Jamie Spears filed a petition to end her conservatorship. Jamie Spears has served as conservator of his daughter’s estate since it was established in 2009. He was also the conservator of her person, overseeing her health and medical issues until he stepped aside in 2019. Jodi Montgomery was then appointed temporary conservator.
