LANGKAWI – BDB Land Sdn. Bhd. (BDB Land), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bina Darulaman Berhad (BDB), has announced a collaboration with Enfiniti Escapes (M) Sdn. Bhd. by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for development in the eco-tourism sector.
BDB’s Executive Director, Raja Shahreen Raja Othman, stated that with the signing of this MoU, both parties are in the planning stages to establish a partnership to develop forest chalets and other eco-tourism-concept developments at Darulaman Sanctuary, Lubuk Semilang, Langkawi, Kedah.
He mentioned that both parties intend to develop the project on a 10-acres area within Darulaman Sanctuary, where BDB Land will conduct comprehensive land surveys to identify the designated development areas.
“Enfiniti Escapes (M) Sdn. Bhd. will focus on the overall concept and design of the development based on studies conducted by BDB Land.
“Additionally, to ensure alignment with conservation goals and environmental sustainability, BDB Land will collaborate with FRIM Incorporated Sdn. Bhd.” he said.
He said this following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BDB Land and Enfiniti Escapes (M) Sdn. Bhd. at Darulaman Sanctuary, Lubuk Semilang, Langkawi, Kedah.
Present at the event were Chairman of Enspire Ventures, Tan Sri Mohd Effendi Norwawi, President, Enfiniti Group of Companies, Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, Langkawi District Officer, Mohamad Subhi Abdullah and Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Wira Isahak Murat.
Raja Shahreen further added that this collaborative plan is another ongoing effort by BDB through BDB Land to create new attractions in Langkawi, indirectly supporting the State to boost the tourism industry through the development of the island resort.
He clarified that last year, BDB Land announced the development of Affordable Housing at Aman Nusa in Bandar Kuah, and BDB Infra Sdn. Bhd., another subsidiary of BDB, signed a share sale agreement between Gemi Puncak Sdn. Bhd. and Gemi Puncak Quarry Sdn Bhd, thereby making the BDB Group the largest owner of a 60-acre granite quarry in Langkawi.
“With this latest collaboration, I anticipate that it will further elevate the profile and add new value to Darulaman Sanctuary, especially, and Langkawi in general, particularly involving eco-tourism not only for local tourists but also international visitors.
“BDB hopes to continue actively participating in Langkawi’s development and to receive good cooperation from all parties, especially local authorities, agencies, and state and federal government departments, so that together we can develop this island,” he explained.
