Madrid’s Paseo del Prado and Retiro Park was recently added as a new Unesco, but besides Madrid, Unesco has announced some of the new additions to its list of World Heritage Sites. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has voted to add 33 new spots to its list, with more discussions to come after several days of online deliberations.
Due to the pandemic, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee didn’t meet last year, and this year, was attended virtually by participants around the world, reviewing nominations from 2020 and 2021.
